About SerialCraft
SerialCraft is an independent educational open-source project connecting Minecraft Java (Fabric) with electronic boards through USB serial and local TCP.
Its creator, Leonardo Aliaga, explores how Minecraft redstone can provide an approachable introduction to programming, electronics and communication protocols. The public source code, examples and technical reference make the project open for study and feedback.
Who is it for?
Students can study sensor data and signal scaling, makers can prototype simple circuits, and Java developers can inspect the interaction between a game, networking and a physical device.
SerialCraft is beta software. Its tutorials describe the development beta and should not be mistaken for proof that every combination of hardware was physically tested. It is not industrial control software.
The project is not affiliated with Mojang, Microsoft or the manufacturers mentioned. See Contact to report problems and Privacy for information about services used on this site.
